PadmaKalyan is founder and managing director of “SANCHALANA SCHOOL OF DANCE” (Previously known as Anasuya Arts Academy), founded in 1983. Sanchalana School of Dance has 16 branches with approximately 1200+ students. The school is affiliated to Pracheen Kala Kendra University. Smt. PadmaKalyan’s life mantra has always been “NRUTYAM SAMARPAYAMI – Dedication to Dance”. Being born into an orthodox family she has always been inclined towards traditions and values. Even after getting married and having two children her interest in traditional dances was so great that it never stopped her from learning the great art of kuchipudi dance. She learned the kuchipudi dance from the great gurus like. Guru Sri Vedantam Sambaiah Garu, Guru Sri Vedantam JagannadhaSharma Garu, Guru Sri Pasumarthi Ramalinga Shastri Garu, and Guru Sri Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam Garu. She excelled in many roles such as a performer, teacher, organizer, examiner, guide, and many more in kuchipudi and other arts. To integrate her values into teaching she started teaching underprivileged students at no cost and provided them with a platform to give performances. Through her affiliation with Pracheen Kala Kendra University she has been conducting UGC approved examinations since 2013. Under her guidance about 7,500 students appeared for their Certificate, Diploma, BA, and MA examinations from Sanchalana School of Dance till today. She was awarded “Uthama Guru” from Telangana Government Sangeet Natak Academy in 2019, “Lady Legend” title from Tutors Pride in 2018 and received many other awards from prestigious institutions. Her achievements can be seen from the success of her students: - Dr. Kiranmai Bonala – (Daughter of Smt Padma Kalyan) o Awards earned “NATYA BALA, NATYA MAYURI, NRITYA KIRANAM, SINGARAMANI AWARD”, performance in “KHAJURAHO DANCE FESTIVAL”, KALKE KALAKAR in Mumbai o C.C.R.T Scholarship awardee by H.R.D, GOVT. OF INDIA. o worked as Kuchipudi Dance Teacher cum Performer in Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Embassy of India, and Hanoi Vietnam. Currently working as principal of sanchalana school of dance. - Dr. Jyothi Shekar Director Gayathri school of dance Hydrabad - Jyothi Reddy – Famous Cine and TV actor - Swapna Chikori – Dance Teacher in United States of America - Many other new generation dancers/teachers are currently pursuing their Bachelors, Masters and other certificate examinations under her guidance.

This performance has two stories. One is the story of Rama. This story is inside another story, where a mother (Yashoda) tells the Ramayana story to her little child (Krishna). Rama and Krishna are major figures in Indian art forms. At the end of today’s dance performance, mother Yashoda realizes that her child Krishna and Rama are one and the same. They are the two incarnations of Vishnu. Song from Swara raga Sudha book. Set to Shankarabaranam Ragam and Adi talam, Music by Smt.
